Outdoor steel structures such as steel structure factory buildings, steel box girder bridges, television towers, building antennas, power transmission substations, and steel lamp poles are exposed to the atmosphere for a long time. Due to climate change and exposure to sunlight and rain, these steel components quickly oxidize on the surface, generating a layer of iron oxide, which seriously affects the strength and service life of the steel structures. To prevent oxidation on the surface of steel structures, paint protection was generally used in the past, with a corrosion resistance period of 3-5 years. Therefore, regular maintenance and repair are required, and the common method is to scrape the paint, which consumes a lot of manpower and resources. The steel structure surface is now protected by zinc and aluminum spraying technology, and the anti-corrosion period can reach more than 30 years without maintenance. If oil is added to seal the zinc aluminum coating, the anti-corrosion period will be longer.


Only by spraying zinc and aluminum on the surface of steel structures can they truly provide anodic protection, thereby achieving the goal of long-term anti-corrosion of steel structures. Therefore, many major engineering and municipal projects in the country have been designated to adopt this technology. For example, the permanent gate of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower TV Tower in Shanghai, the main guard post of Yangpu Bridge, the elevated steel beam of the inner ring of Guangzhou, the steel structure antenna of Shanghai Securities Building, the common trench explosion gas pipeline of Pudong Airport Road, and the 500000 kilowatt substation of Shanghai South Bridge, to ensure the long-term plan of major projects.
